Artist: Michael Hedges
Michael Hedges was a uniquely gifted guitarist with a distinctive percussive sensibility, a penchant for fresh alternate tunings and unusual, energetic phrasings, all of which brought him international attention back in the early 80s. This track hails from the Oklahoma native son’s second albums, Aerial Boundaries. It exemplifies the pristine clarity, agile dexterity and the kind of brisk, flawless attack he was routinely capable of; all the more tragic, then, that Hedges died behind the wheel at the age of 43 in 1997. He is remembered by eight studio album, one live one and appearances in several compilations - an artist well worth investigating.
